In no event shall NOL be liable in either tort or contract for any loss or direct, special, incidental, consequential or exemplary damages. NOL makes no warranty that any its products are suitable for any particular purpose and makes no other warranties, expressed or implied, other than those set forth here. This warranty does not cover the cost of freight, transportation, installation or labor. When repairing or replacing a defective product, NOL does not guarantee matching color, grain, texture or dye lots. If a product is defective and if written notice of the defect is given to NOL within the Applicable Warranty Period, NOL at its option will either repair or replace the defective product with comparable component or product. Standard commercial use is defined as the proper usage by individual(s) who work an (8) eight hour, single shift work day. As used in this Warranty, “defect” means imperfections in components which substantially impair the utility of the product. The warranty, which runs from the date of purchase covers defects in materials and craftsmanship found during standard commercial use of the products during the warranty period. This warranty is given to the initial purchaser and is valid for a period of (10) ten years to the original purchaser from the purchase date. In 1946, she became a full business and design partner and married Hans Knoll, after which they formed Knoll Associates.
She worked briefly for Walter Gropius, Marcel Breuer and Wallace K. She studied architecture at Cranbrook, the Architectural Association in London and the Armour Institute (Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago). While a student at the Kingswood School on the campus of the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, Florence Knoll Bassett (née Schust) became a protegée of Eero Saarinen.
